Influenza Specialist Group - Influenza Discussion papers (pdf files)
These papers are part of the public awareness campaign and educational programme run by the Australian Influenza Specialist Group. It is aimed at educating key target audiences regarding the potential severity and consequences of influenza and the importance of preventing infection. The Influenza Awareness Programme was launched in Australia in 1992 and has been conducted annually since then in conjunction with the Australian Medical Association, The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and the World Health Organisation Collaborating Centre for Reference and Research on Influenza (Melbourne). It is supported and sponsored by the commercial organisations, which market influenza vaccines and ethical (prescription) anti-influenza drugs in Australia.
